Those elusive three-day weekends (!)

Free books at the Bay Area Book Exchange. A rainy Saturday indoors. Two sleepy cats. One surly rat. Spicy Louisiana sausage hot dogs, homemade pickled cucumbers, caramelized onion & corn slaw on my plate, 2 zombie movies lined up and ready to go. Scrapbooking for toddlers. A pile of glitter on the floor. Contemplating a 6-mile run in drizzly weather- munching on crackers under the blankets instead. Picking out 25 cent cassettes for the oldsmobile @ Amoeba. Lining up for a Rocky-Road-cherry-vanilla ice cream sandwich in 40 degree weather. A subterranean theatre with free pizza, beer & friends. A thick stack of magazines to read through. A thin stack of postcards to hang up. Candle burning, tea cooling, cat snoozing (ever so inconveniently) on my laptop.
